Products that have transformed my skin()

During the past few weeks I’ve been using a few products that have dramatically improved my skin. They have faded acne scars that were left over from my pregnancy, reduced my fine lines and given me a glowing complexion.

Annoyingly a few of the products are stupidly expensive but if you have a birthday coming up or feel that you deserve a treat then I really do recommend them wholeheartedly.

My first life changing product is the one that I featured as my product of the year 2014 and is my trusty tube of  Ginvera Exfoliating Marvel Gel. It is the only product that I have ever used that truly clears my skin of black/white heads and is so mild that it can be used on really sensitive skin. Twice/three times a week I rub it onto dry skin and watch in awe as it gets to work on removing dead skin cells. I then rinse my face and hey presto, I’ve exfoliated and my skin looks amazing. The gel is available on Cult Beauty for £22. Here’s the link.

The second product that has really made a difference to my skin is Verso Dark Spot Fix with Retinol 8. This potent but surprisingly mild product has worked wonders at fading my acne scars. Retinol 8 is being heralded as a “revolution in vitamin A”. It is eight times more powerful but has none of the side effects. Basically this little pot of yellow cream will give your skin a real boost, plumping it, reducing wrinkles and fading dark spots. It will also set you back a ghastly £125 for a mere 15ml. Is it worth it though? If you ask me….yes. It really has changed the appearance and quality of my skin.

Finally, another horrifically expensive product (sorry) but one that beauty editors across the nation are listing as their favourite ever product. I was a bit sceptical (to say the least) as it costs £136  but I have to say that Sisley’s Black Rose Precious Face Oil is a really beautiful addition to my skincare routine. This super hydrating oil is meant for dry/thirsty/mature skin so is probably not quite right for my combination skin, but I’ve found that patting a very small amount on my face before bed has given me a luminous glow in the mornings. I really love it.

I hope you don’t mind that two of my recommendations are so pricey, especially at the start of the year when if you’re anything like me, you’re probably a bit broke after all that Christmas shopping. If you do get given them as a well deserved treat then let me know how you get on xx
